Founder and owner of Bridging Oceans, will also be running the daily operations. Terri-Lyn has owned and operated an in-home childcare for nearly a decade in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to opening her own facility, Ms. Mangum worked closely with special needs children for four years. Terri-Lyn was an avid volunteer in her children’s childcare she helped the provider create and organize lessons for the week. Through her volunteer and entrepreneurial efforts, Ms. Mangum found her underlying passion for teaching young children. After giving birth to her second child, and discovering that many local childcare services did not provide her children with the environment she sought after, Terri-Lyn revisited the idea of opening a childcare center. She wanted to set herself apart from the other facilities, so she implemented language introduction and a curriculum for children ages birth through five. Ms. Mangum has consistently continued to improve her childcare, by frequently implementing new ideas since opening ten years ago
